AQUILA COLLECTION TRADE UPDATES:

South Africa is currently on lock down LEVEL 3 in an effort to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. The current restrictions do not impact on our service offering and the Aquila Collection reserves remain open to provide world-class safaris.
Please note the following updates:

GAME RESERVES:

Please note that from 15 January to 31 March 2021 Aquila, Inverdoorn and Kuganha will only offer weekend experiences.

Overnight safaris and weekend packages will be offered at Aquila Private Game Reserve and Spa, Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve and Kuganha Tented Camp Safari.
The Afternoon Day Trip Safari programme will be offered only at Aquila Private Game Reserve and Spa on Fridays and Saturdays (due to the weekend overnight offering being implemented).
Transfers are available - minimum 2 guests.
All reserves are closed from Sunday afternoon to Friday morning.
This arrangement is in place until 31 March 2021. Further updates will be circulated.

HEAD OFFICE AND ADMINISTRATION:

The Aquila Collection Head Office is currently operating limited administration and reservation services via telephone and can be reached on weekdays between 09h00 and 16h00.

INVERDOORN GENERAL MANAGER:

We would like to introduce and welcome our recently appointed Inverdoorn General Manager: Storm de Lange. Her industry experience, welcoming style, personal touch and attention to detail will impress your guests and add to the already exceptional services and facilities at the property.

INVERDOORN DAY TRIPS:

Please note that the day trip programme at Inverdoorn has been suspended with immediate effect. All day trip enquiries can be serviced at Aquila Private Game Reserve and Spa.

The trade portal and rate information has been updated.

INVERDOORN FOOD OFFERING:

The Inverdoorn buffet offering has been removed and replaced with a set menu plated service for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Guests will be informed of the menu options at check-in.

NEW BOOKINGS:

Our standard cancellation policy as per the 2020 and 2021 STO agreement has been relaxed to support the recovery programme and help rebuild the Cape Town Safari business. Therefore our standard cancellation policy applies on all bookings from 01 November 2020.

Any bookings that might be impacted by the Coronavirus can make use of our penalty free 24 month deferment option. This allows the guest to rebook anytime within 2 years from the original date of arrival.

TRADE SPECIALS:

While we are currently only offering weekend stays, we have extended our trade partner special offer: 30% off rack at 12% commissionable.

This offer is valid until 31 March 2021 and valid on all programmes currently offered.

AQUILA COLLECTION TRADE DIVISION:

We have merged our customer, marketing and sales services. All trade, industry and corporate partners will be managed via our Aquila Collection Trade Division. For ease of future communication, please use trade@aquilacollection.com for all general updates.

Reservations, quotes and confirmations can be managed via groups@aquilacollection.com.

DIGITAL TRADE PORTAL:

During lock down, the Aquila Collection introduced its new online portal which gives access to all trade information, rates and updates. This is a new industry only website with registration access only.

This new portal gives access to your specific nett level rates. Please click here to register your online profile.

2021/21 RATES:

We are excited to announce that we have previously concluded a rates freeze for the 2020/21 period.

Further to this announcement, we would like to inform you of our decision to help the recovery phase by also holding rates for the 2021/22 period.

The online portal will be updated and all booking channels will reflect this decision. Updated nett level rate sheets will be also be distributed shortly.

NEW STO AGREEMENT:

If you have not yet received your updated STO agreement, please reply to us in order for you to receive the latest contracting information for the 2020/21 period. These terms will highlight the amended cancellation penalty periods and the special Covid19 cancellation arrangements.
