Latest update from Searl Derman, owner of Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve.
The fifth rhino is alive and still mobile. The veterinarians are monitoring the situation to determine the best possible time after the heat of the midday sun to dart and tranquilize the rhino.
At this point, they will be able to assess the injuries. She is very scared and not allowing any movement in close proximity.
We are creating a R100 000 reward for information and inviting the public and concerned citizens to make donations towards the private investigation, forensic teams, medical and vet bills, training, staffing, and rewards that we plan to offer to motivate informants to provide information.
All funds received will go directly into our internationally acclaimed efforts.
