What to expect at airports visiting South Africa

We are filled with warmth and appreciation for our international visitors who are choosing South Africa as a destination to visit, thanks, in part, to our Alert Level One status and our health and safety protocols. Visitors to South Africa are not required to quarantine if you have a negative PCR test.

The only requirement to jump on a plane and visit Cape Town – and obviously Aquila Safari – is that all international travellers arriving at Cape Town International Airport (and other international airports) must provide a valid certificate of a negative COVID-19 test, which was obtained not more than 72 hours before the date of travel.

Check out this short clip above to learn more about the experience at our international airports: Travellers will be screened on arrival and those presenting with symptoms will be required to have Covid-19 test. If a traveller has a negative PCR test and passes screening, they are free to continue with their travels.

We really look forward to welcoming each and every one of you to our Big 5 Private Game Reserve, only 2 hours from Cape Town, where you will enjoy the fresh air, wide-open space and the joy of spotting South Africa’s jewels – our beautiful animals.
